QC Documents for Confluence Cloud Is Now on Forge

QC Documents for Confluence Cloud version 2.0.0 now runs on Atlassian Forge. The migration to Forge was completed on 5 October 2026, and we are announcing the upgrade today.

This is the next version of the same Marketplace app. Your existing pages, revision values, and settings stay in place. No data is lost in the move.

Why we moved to Forge

Atlassian is ending support for the Connect framework, with full end of support in Q4 2026. Forge is the Cloud platform Atlassian now uses for Marketplace apps. QC Documents moves with that change so the app stays supported, aligned with Atlassian Cloud security standards, and able to receive further updates.

In Manage apps you may see a notice that the app may stop working after January 2027. The app continues to work after that date, and no data is lost. You may also see an Upcoming App Upgrade message in QC - Page Revision Overview and in QC Documents Space Settings.

We will keep supporting the current Connect version for as long as that remains in our hands. New features go into the Forge version. Once version 2.0.0 is offered in your site, we recommend that a site admin completes the update.

What is new in 2.0.0

The features you already use stay available. A few workflows now follow Forge, and the release adds new ways to identify, review, and open controlled pages.

Expiration dates. The expiration date is set in QC Documents - Page Overview. The QC - Expiration Date macro is now view-only.

Where Space Settings live. Open Space settings → Integrations → QC Documents → Settings.

QC - Internal Reference. The macro shows page titles instead of full URLs.

QC - Citations Table. You can include pages from chosen spaces, or exclude pages from chosen spaces.

Document Registries. Assign your own IDs to pages.

Space Overview. See the pages in a space in one view.

Page Reviews. Review pages from QC Documents - Page Overview.

QC - Page QR Code. Place a QR code on a page for quick access.

QC - Mermaid Diagram. Render Mermaid diagrams on the Confluence page.

How a site admin completes the upgrade

A site admin updates the app from Atlassian Administration. The short path is:

1. Open Administration.
2. Select the site where QC Documents is installed.
3. Open Apps → Sites → Manage.
4. Under Connected apps, find QC Documents for Confluence Cloud and click Update.

Approve the Forge permissions when asked. Existing data and settings stay as they are. No extra setup is required after the update.
